Should You Buy a Used Car Seat?

Babies don’t become automatically safe once you strap them into a car seat. Yes, there are laws and regulations that car seat manufacturers follow to meet government standards but it is also a parent’s duty to make sure that everything is fine before you even strap them into one.
Avoid buying used car seats, you don’t want to use a car seat that has ever been involved in a car crash in the past. You really won’t know the real history of a car seat if you aren’t the first owner. Another point is that used car seats tend to be worn out and may malfunction if you didn’t know it had any defects or damage due to its previous use. If you are buying a brand new one, check if that certain model you want has been recalled. The same rule goes for infant booster seats.
