How Many Websites Will Be enough? Too Many?

I wonder how many websites one person can manage? I found a lace where they are very reasonable. So, if I thought I could have more than one, I could start several different businesses and make more money. You know, divide the merchandise instead of having it on one site. That would be less confusing for the customer, and they would not be liable to flip through too fast. But I am afraid that if I had more than the one, I would get overwhelmed and let the quality suffer. I guess I could build up one at a time, then back off when it became too much for me.
