Zinfandel Makes a Lovely Dessert Wine

I had never seen such an assortment of wines in my life until I was shown the wine cellar at my host’s home. Rows and rows of bottles of all ages were carefully stacked and labeled according to the year in which they were produced. My host, Mr Wright, has built his collection over the many years of association with vineyard growers in the Napa Valley and surrounding areas. I wondered which one he would pick for us to enjoy with our dessert after the lovely meal his wife had prepared. He chose a delightful Zinfandel, and I must agree, this man certainly knows his wines. I hope I am invited back again some day soon.
