new puppy

We got Duke from the shelter just this week. He was an adopted golden retriever and the kids were really happy that we got the puppy. They had been whining for us to get a puppy for over a month and we finally caved in. The first week with the puppy was a nightmare! Duke wasn’t trained yet and he chewed on everything. The furniture was ruined and some of the expensive vases were already broken. The little puppy even chewed on the handmade fathers day gift the kids had made last month. Moreover, he wasn’t toilet trained yet so he peed on everything, not to mention, everyone. We all decided to send the little puppy to dog school before we decide to return him to the shelter.
