I live in Ireland and so I wanted to get car insurance in Ireland, too, rather than buying insurance with a company that is based outside of Ireland. I’ve done that before and found that the service was fairly poor when I had to make a claim, I think that was because it was hard to get all the paperwork sorted out within a reasonable timeframe. This time I’m sticking to safe ground and purchasing my insurance with a company whose name I know and who is based in the same country as me. I would recommend this course of action to anyone looking to purchase their insurance online.
